What your doctor was saying about your reaction may indicate another condition--a quick reaction to an a/d is a classic indication of bipolar disease...the smaller dose pushed you to a hypomanic (mildly manic) state, the larger dose pushed you farther... plus, there is evidence that a/d's can worsen the cycling in bipolar, making you MORE depressed. Call your doctor Monday and tell him what's up...Good Luck.
