I have gone manic from zoloft once, wellbutrin twice, (the second time I was on lamictal too, just wasn't strong enough to keep me stable)...paxil without a mood stabilizer pushed me into a manic state (before my diagnosis, but led to my eventual diagnosis, I had two manic and two depressed episodes in one year) and then a new pdoc added prozac to the effexor I was already taking and I soared into the sky (then went mixed, oh my gosh)...that was the year I went to the hospital for the first time ever. effexor was the only snri that I was ever able to take, along with a mood stabilizer, that kept me ok. I have had SO many med changes over the years depending on what mood I end up in, I typically had two episodes a year for several years. I"m prescribed pristiq now but am trying to get my meds back under control...I was not taking them for about 2 months. and no, not for any good reason, I was just being lazy and stubborn.
