If you go through starvation periods, it will affect your potential for weight loss in a negative way. Your metabolism will slow down and when you do eat your body will try to hold onto everything in anticipation for another starvation period. By not eating regularly, you will make weight gain more likely to occur.

Try to eat regularly, every 3-4 hours ish, even if it's something small like a piece of fruit and a yogurt. It will keep your metabolism running healthier in the long run.
