Default Re: Risk Factors for Adult Attachment Disorders

For me, the two biggest factors were that both my parents (attachment figures) severely abused me (T calls it 'extreme and prolonged'; i call it childhood), plus they kept me isolated from everyone else.

I was allowed out of the house to go to school and then straight back home again. And i was warned, every single day, not to tell anyone anything i shouldn't (there was a list, i knew everything on it) or there'd be serious repercussions (i also knew what those were).

Twenty years of it = attachment disorder. or disordered attachment. whichever way you want to look at it.
