Saying things in the blur of what I call the "Deer in the Headlights" feeling, then realizing how stupid it sounded and going over it in our heads is very commonplace for social anxiety disorder. What I can tell you is that it will never sound as dumb to the person you said it to as it does to your own self. Besides that, you have likely been thinking about it long after the other person has already forgotten what you said.
