Thanks for replying!
I'm recently in the process of getting the medical certifications for FMLA leave which would excuse my former and future absences.
Three months sounds like a good goal.
I'd still be at the same job, so I wouldn't need a reference.
But despite my absences I do a really good job at work and my boss is impressed with my work. I just wish I didn't feel sick so often and could be more consistent with my attendance.
I really want to find a project based job. Preferably in an office where I don't have set hours and just have project deadlines to meet. But there's a lot of transition happening at my job and they really need me to be there, even with the absences.
Anyway, I like your suggestion of 3 months.
