I only have serious sleeping issues when manic, and to a lesser degree when hypomanic. I think it has almost always been the case in my life, and is certainly the case in the many years of me taking good doses of Seroquel XR. On the rare occasions that doesn't work perfectly (when I'm manic or having serious anxiety/agitation), a number of things do tend to help me, including:
* Prn Ativan
*Prn regular Seroquel
or in milder cases,
*My sound machine
*Dairy products eaten/drank at night
The latter two non-medicinal options can really make a difference for me.
