So I see, I'd just not come across it before as an approach and was rather shocked tbh. I'm not wanting to get into a discussion about the religious aspects, that wouldn't be helpful to the OP, but I just suggest there are likely to be more up-to-date alternatives that are less judgemental and more evidence based that they could also explore.
