Hi all.
I'm currently taking a class called Happiness. It fulfills a humanities requirement and I thought, why not?
It's a combination of Buddhist philosophies and positive psychology that many people believe it is a life skill that everyone should be able to learn and apply to their lives. I thought it could be beneficial for me.
I am struggling with the concept of "happy place". I have an assignment to describe my happy place. From what I've seen in media and read in books, it's described as some place you imagine in your mind and it supposedly brings you peace. I'm sure most of you know what it is.
Now, the question is do you all have a happy place that you imagine and it makes your overall mood better? It sounds a little depressing to me. Imagining a place that you can't physically be, it sounds depressing rather than happy. I've been polling with random people on whether just imagining it is good enough or would you have to physically go to your happy place for you to feel at peace and happy?
