Thanks for sharing this! ... I still carry on the tradition ... I keep rubber bands laying about in various locations just for the purpose ... I tell flies when they come in the house that they'd better find a way out before sundown or else they'll be dead ... I've gotten quite good and picking them off too, and it's way more challenging (and fun) than using a regular old flyswatter ... May the fly gods have mercy on them & me!
