My wife and i have a rule in our house. no one answers any phone calls they dont recognize the phone number. our phones also allow us to block calls. we hear the phone ring. check the number if its not a number we recognize then we wait for the message. if the message is from a robo call or telemarketer or scammer we add that number to our phones blocking list. the next time they call from that number they dont get our voicemail or us, they get the phone company's robo message that they are blocked and their call has been forwarded to the local phone company for investigation of violating the do not call registry, scams and unwanted telemarketing calls.

email same thing we mark the offending emails for our spam box and we never open them the email provider automatically deletes our spam box every day or two.

our business line hardly ever gets hit by scammers and telemarketers.
