when I get a song stuck in my head I stop and consider what is going on around me and in my life. usually I can find a connection to the song to whats going on...
example today I was doing some family stuff and the song take me home country roads started playing in my head. I found a place to sit down, and I realized I was tired of the crowded store and I wanted to get on home. I looked at my wife and suggested we take the crew on home for some lunch and before the children could start arguing we had a game of guess whats for lunch where were we going to pick up our take out from. the song stopped playing in my head as soon as we were in my wifes car out of the city store crowds.
maybe you can write down the songs lyrics and match it to what is going on in your life, that can help you get rid of the song again.
