Well yes, you are in a courtroom with many other people. They are just as nervous as you are. I had to go twice and even had to serve, while pregnant and while my job site was closing down. Huge stress. I will save that story for another day. They dont care. They need people to serve, and they have heard all the excuses in the book. Work is no excuse. Child care...maybe...depends on the judge. Having to raise your kid while pregnant with another and work to support it all...no excuse for me. Having ties to police, fire, the lawyers or people involved...will get you out. Not sure about anexiety.
The second time, I wasn't even asked any questions, just sat there all day until they had their quota filled. It is an interesting experience though.
