I doubt it. But
(1) my state lets you defer to the date of your choice one time; if you defer ask to get the week between x-mas and new years. NO ONE has a trial then.
(2) my state has you call in the night before and see if you are necessary. If you are not they will tell you so.
Ask to be deferred until the week between xmas and news years and chances are when you call in there will be no need for you to go.
