I think this can help us with our self-esteem...reminding ourselves of our goodness and to remember that there are good folks out there in the world doing good things

One day I saw an elderly woman struggling to reach something on the shelf at a store. I offered to help and then she confided how she had recently fallen and gotten hurt outside her home. I stood and listened for a few minutes. She looked relieved, thanked me, and then went on her way. Small connections can sometimes mean a lot.
