I saw a couple of news stories that I liked. Sorry, no links to the original stories.
California passed two new laws related to pets. The first requires that pet stores who sell cats, dogs or rabbits only sell animals from shelters. Yah! Maybe this will have some impact on puppy mill kind of places.
The other will treat pets as living critters in divorce cases. No more treating pets as property in divorce settlements. Decisions about custody are to be made in the best interest of the pet.
