Normally, when not manic, I would be so down and depressed that I would do anything to sleep. It was a reliable escape for me. I would fight to fall asleep as early as 6pm-6:30pm every single night just to escape the pain of being awake.

For the past 2 nights in a row, I have taken my wife out, gotten dinner, watched a movie, and stayed up to talk, love, and relate to her... Not only did we do all of these things, but they were my idea, I wanted to do it!!!

This is such a huge victory for me, for us, I can hardly put the magnitude of this reality into words! I am so very happy and can see her feeling more loved and supported.

I have an overwhelming amount of hope and gratitude for my medical team (therapist, doctor, recovery counselor, etc.) and for this forum. The hope and love I feel have literally almost brought me to tears.

Thank you.
