I don't think it's that simple, Michael W. Harris. However, I do agree that having the people in our lives understand what problems we are dealing with can be very important. This is true for any MI, not just DID. But I'd say therapy is required for many cases, as well as meds. It's not easy to deal with MI, but it can be done.
