I'm so sorry, random1human It sounds like your mother is in denial, or perhaps just doesn't know a lot about MI. Why can't you discuss it with your doctor? Is your mother there with you when you discuss it? How old are you? I think you have every right to get the treatment you need and deserve. Your mother may not believe it, but you have a diagnosis, so you should have priority. I don't think it's far of your mother to dictate your life and your own mental health. Is it possible to see your doctor without your mother coming in? I believe you have every right to privacy when it comes to these things.
