You are correct about society saying that you should have that special someone on that day. And that was something I wasn't too crazy about. For comfort yesterday I read about why people hate Valentines Day and I had to agree with the points. A couple of writers were saying that Valentines Day can do more to destroy relationships than to enhance it. I think I agree with it.
I appreciated you sending me a little private message yesterday. It made me feel pretty good.

For me personally, whether in a romantic relationship or not, I choose to send out loving thoughts to various people in my life on Valentine's Day. I view it as a reminder to openly express my love. For example, yesterday I sent a loving message to my uncle...thanking him for being so good and kind to my parents down the years and for all the wonderful things he did for my siblings and I when we were children. I thanked him for hugging me when one of my parents died. I acknowledged and returned his love on Valentine's Day. Just my way of doing things. Thank you for sharing your own truth, Will!
