You sound very entwined with your mom. Sure your family may be concerned that you cracked once before but did they come right out and say "we disapprove" of this? And why is it their place to stop you? Like you said you weren't in therapy nor on meds before and now you have professional staff supporting you through this big step.

What came of that letter of promise to repay?
