hi. never taken it. i didn't much care for risperidone, so i never thought to ask about invega. having said that...

its probably better than most of the older tranquilizers, as long as the dose isn't too high. prolactin elevation can be a major issue. that's treatable, but...psychiatrists seem to be slack about monitoring, so major problems sometimes develop that could be avoided. kinda lame.

what little data ive read on risperidone and invega vs other drugs seems to pretty much indicate that its about as effective as the older drugs with less EPS, hopefully less TD, more beneficial effects on mood and anxiety, now and then good effects on negative symptoms (that's more controversial).

my real probem is how they put so many people on those long acting injections. to me, it smacks of social control. at the clinic, ive had nurses try to talk to me about injections, and i politely and tactfully decline. -shudder-
