I have no problem with ESL. I grew up in So Calif & even many of the sign boards were in spanish.
What I have a serious problem with is American customer service numbers when you get a foreign person you are trying to communicate with who can't even understand what you are asking & can't even answer your question while THEY are absolutely certain they did.
Ugh I encountered this even with the IRS after waiting on the phone for over an hour to have my call answered. Got this guy with a thick German accent who just couldn't grasp what I was asking while he was absolutely certain he did. That got resolved with a supervisor but he sure wasn't willing to let me talk to one either. This is NOT ok for customer service positions. While if I get a fireign accent & they are capable of providing the help I need.....no problem.
