I was terrorized by a gang of older boys for 4 years. Everyone knew what was going on. But no one cared... including my parents. At one point one of them beat me up breaking my nose. When he was questioned about it, he said I called him a name. So I got blamed for it. Perhaps it would be too strong to say it destroyed my life. But certainly didn't do it any good...
