Very true, Emily, with the typical work schedules, everyone is stuck in the same traffic or public transit, trying to get caught up on household stuff on the weekends. No wonder many people are stressed out and snippy. I am very fortunate to be able to work from home and it does help my mental state and energy levels I hated spending over an hour and a half commuting every day.
I've lived on the same street for many years and I have seen things get worse as far as consideration for others. We are in close quarters - small duplex houses and small yards, so noise carries. Parking is somewhat limited too. Before people tended to watch the noise levels and we kind of had an understanding where people parked. There are a lot of renters, so turnover in residents and these days some of the neighbors are not that great. The noise levels have gone up, people are fighting over parking spaces, they let their dogs run loose, etc. It's chaos. I am lucky to be moving soon.
