Hi. Would it be helpful to perhaps introduce yourself back to that year by having someone else present? Maybe watch something from that year as others have suggested but with a friend sitting nearby? Maybe too, pull out some pen and paper and set about the process of list making. What was good about the year? How did the good things affect you positively? What can you do to regain or relive those experiences.

Another little exercise comes to my mind that is straight out of my CBT tool chest.

What is the actual evidence you have that thinking about 2017 will have a negative result? What then is the evidence against this? What things can be done differently to avoid those things you are worrying about. Make a plan - what can you do in the event something negative comes your way? Is there a way to deal with it? Is there a way to change it?
