As long as the property manager is giving you ample notice (the rule of thumb is usually a minimum 24hrs) to make repairs they can enter your suite to do so. As for complaints, do you know for a fact these are against you? Do you know what these complaints comprise of yet? I say hang on and wait until you have to face this conversation. They can't be too bad or the property manager would have already told you about them when he had the first opportunity. They may in fact be nothing much at all. Cross that bridge when you come to it.
As for your wish to move. You are valid on this point as obviously you feel your current situation is neither safe nor sound. One has got to feel comfortable where they live. So I would start putting out feelers now for prospective places to live...
Do you attend a support group? Sometimes those networks of people we develop are great sources. Perhaps someone you know will have a lead on a place. So too, you might discover a potential room mate. Check with your local mental health association. They can help you in more ways than one. Most will maintain a list of suitable housing. Also, they may be able to set you up with an advocate - one that can help you with your present situation or one that can help you with settling things pertaining to the procurement of some place new.
