most cases, the pannic attack comes from the fact that I smell something relating to a bad memory

for example smoke (as in fire smoke), a certain perfume that my grandmother used to wear (she's now passed on), and blood- when I smell blood, I always have to check myself to see if I'm bleeding (even if I know full well that I'm not)

most smells I can tolerate while I'm their, it's only later when I'm away from it I start spraying air freshener and realising just how bad it was

the one smell I can't seem to take is cooking vegetables

that's the exception

overrides everything else
