You know, it isn't even that. I am on my condo's board of trustees and several times now trustees just haven't shown up, are over 15 minutes late, OR can't be bothered to have prepared.
Look, when you make a commitment you make a commitment. Of course if you can't come, fine but 24 hours notice is absolutely not out of line.
It is just too bad that we live in this time in the world.
