I hate that biology and physiology plays a role in what my body wants to do, while my head is so not interested. It causes me insomnia. Cant bring it up in therapy, I feel rather shame and embarrassment and will definitely dissociate. It is my main reason for sleepless nights, I do not want any part in doing, touching or act of any kind. I fight against it by watching YouTube or playing games on phone, eating, tossing and turning, or listening to music. Yet i will get highly irritated too.
Just wondering if anyone else has problems dealing with the same? What do you do to help distract?
Please no comments about it being natural to do etc...I do not find such comments helpful.
