Silvertrees thanks for your question. I think a high carbohydrate diet in some people can lead to crashing of blood sugar to a low level a couple hours after eating.

For me I experimented and found that the more carbs I had the more mood swings I had. For me taking protein with every meal and limiting carbs has helped curb my constant hunger and leveled out my moods. But of course mindfulness has also helped me too so I am not certain what is doing what, but I feel better with my current diet.

So if I am having blueberries or strawberries I may take them with yogurt or cooked egg whites (all protein). If I have a little oatmeal I take a small serving and do not add sweetner and add protein.

Of course you are the only one that can tell what foods are good for your body and your moods. Hope you find foods that help you feel good. Exercise is another way to energize myself and keep my moods looking up.
