I had IVF after 14 years of an ED. They did weigh me and I had to unofficially gain a lot in 6 months beforehand or I wouldn’t be eligible to do it. I had to switch off that ED voice send try to turn up the fertility voice. I found actually telling people about the medication I was taking for IVF and telling them I was trying for a baby made them understand I would be gaining weight from this point on, so I felt like I was off the hook for not being my usual weight: does that make sense?

Bizarrely, when I become pregnant I become ED free almost overnight from seeing the positive test and didn’t weigh myself at all during pregnancy and loved my bump and was so proud of my body.
