I'm old enough that when I was a kid, vaccines were just being introduced and not widely used. The only things I was vaccinated for were smallpox and polio.

I had everything as a kid, whooping cough, chicken pox, regular measles, and German measles, and mumps. I was sick as anything with all of them and almost died from the measles.

So I take vaccines very seriously. I get the flu shot every year, and have done so for at least the last decade, and only had one very mild case.

I think parents who don't vaccinate their children are behaving dangerously.
