I found the nurses almost more impossible to deal with than the mds when my person was sick. I remember going ballistic on one who, when we called the office as the md told us to do to get her pain meds refilled after she was released from having surgery on her back and hip (she had breast cancer that spread to her bones and other places) suggested she was faking it and to "try and wait it out a day or two" before calling back. I then called the md's cell phone and we had the prescription within about 20 minutes and an apology, but the snotty nurses sent me over the edge. There were maybe 2 who were not unbearable.
