Volunteering can be as difficult as working. Make sure you are in a good place with yourself and have the support that you need. If you choose to volunteer somewhere, understand there will be challenges and in fact the work may be more challenging that the average job. Just showing up may not be enough. As a person without an addiction, I understand there may be volunteer work that may be shared with those doing community service. So if you do volunteer, try to find a place specific to your interests and one that has a good reputation and support system in place.
