The Bipolar forum receives a lot of posts regarding the different treatment options available to patients. These threads are incredibly helpful for learning what to expect when taking a new med, withdrawing from a med, dealing with side effects, etc. However, these threads are comingled with everything else and usually end up lost within the many pages of threads created every year.

I created a thread in the Bipolar forum discussing the possibility of creating a centralized location to discuss treatmemts. The idea of creating a new sub forum within the Bipolar forum was raised. We recognize the existence of the Medications forum here at PC, but hope to create something specific to the Bipolar forum as users historically navigate there to discuss treatment concerns specific to bipolar disorder. Also, we would like to discuss all treatment options as opposed to medication only.

The purpose of the Bipolar Treatments sub forum would be to discuss treatment options, success stories, symptoms, withdrawal, life without meds, alternative treatment options, med resistant treatment options, and other topics related to treatment. We feel creating a sub forum will provide an easy way for users to scan titles so that they can find threads of interest and avoid potential triggers.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter. A link to the thread where this idea was discussed by members of the Bipolar forum is provided below. I am happy to provide additional information as needed.
