I wish I knew the reason why I feel it necessary to spoil my main meals

I have had an okay day today- my advent calendar chocolate, fruit for breakfast and a few snacks, (maybe 2 bags of chips), but now I know I have a proper meal coming up- I want to eat more snack food

like I'm trying to stop myself from eating it and enjoying it- the actual meal I mean.
