"There is the somatic level of the work, the need to regulate and retrain the nervous system and body that the world is safe and to help it calm down and respond appropriately versus in default."

I keep hearing that.

That I have a "misconception" that the world is not safe. But, Honestly, please help me understand in simple terms, HOW can the world be understood as safe? Especially when you don't have any support and low self efficacy? What is the definition of "safe" in this context? If I find myself in need, of say, money, to pay my bills, and I fail to come up with it, will I not lose my home? Land on the streets? Go hungry? The world doesn't care about poor people who have no one. They ridicule you and let you die. What is safe about that?
