I tried to stop cold turkey once, some years ago, but I went from one self-destructive behavior to another. Now, I'm learning that if I don't have the tools to deal with SH thoughts, I won't be able to stop them. PDOC always tells me that it will be a long road with lots of ups and downs and even some periods with no setbacks, but that the important thing is to learn to face life and use words or any other possible mean to express myself that doesn't imply harming myself.
