Yes, in my experience few people participate on such threads outside of the OP. I think they find the writing of the thread therapeutic in its own way, and as a self-help support community, that seems in keeping with our mission.

But I do agree, if a particular forum became overwhelmed with such threads, we'd likely have to address the issue again in more depth... and would likely just create a sub-forum for such members. Thanks again.
