I agree. I don't think time really heals all wounds. And time doesn't necessarily erase memories either. I remember the things people did, even if they have managed to convince themselves that they didn't really do those things or even if they think they have managed to put enough new personas between their vicious old self and their latest pseudo self. So in that respect wounds can open people up to reality.
