One time I was scheduled for surgery and filling out my pre-op forms. I checked off anxiety and never added I have ptsd. The day of the operation the anesthesiologist said I see you have anxiety. Will it be an issue in the operating room, will you have it under control? I would hate to think what his comments would be if I added ptsd on the form. I don expect health care providers to fully understand. They should be respectful and mind what they say.
