Well, this gentleman obviously should not be talking to strangers! One, he is not socially isolating as he should be. Two, you two had not been proerly introduced. Three, you are not his therapist! Did he expect free therapy from a stranger? Four, i think what you said was pretty darn funny, mostly because i would have said the same thing myself! His wife probably kicked him out of the house to get some peace for a while from his Eeyore act. It's times like these i am grateful for the single life that i have.
