Social support can mean different things to different people. The best social support system are people who you can turn to for anything, and don't feel ashamed/guilty/burden. It's something that is hard to get because of the stigma of mental health. I'm going to try to get past feeling like a burden and asking for support. It will be worth the time if the person is the right person to be added to my social support system.

The main goal if this post is to awaken us to see that our social needs are not being met. And after reading about someone who is recovered from mental illness, social support was a BIG part of his recovery. I'm finding more people who have recovered, as it inspires me and gives me hope!
