Hon, I think I understand your fear of being under anesthesia. Years ago I had carpal and ulnar surgery. Laying on the table, getting strapped down I started to panic. It was a good thing they'd already given me a shot to start knocking me out because I was bound and determined I was getting off that table and getting the h e l l out of there!
Could you talk to your surgeon about your fear? Maybe the could load you up on a sedative ahead of time? I had oral surgery ugh a few years ago. The doc had me take valium the night before and again the day of the surgery. I was so loopy by the time he operated I didn't give a rat's kitty bitty b-hind what he did.
