What it says on the tin - unless someone is having problems walking or staying upright (and even then I might put it down to something else first), I don’t generally recognise when they’re drunk.
I used to go out very occasionally with colleagues or friends on the odd evening, which usually would be clubs or pubs (I’m virtually teetotal. I don’t even dance lol), so, basically places where other people would be drinking.
It just seems to me that other people can recognise drunkenness a lot better than I can. To the point where sometimes the penny didn’t drop for me that someone was drunk until someone literally pointed it out or mentioned drinking too much.
Does anyone else relate to this?
I’ve spent more time than I realise around drunks - my dad’s ‘friends’ when I was a preteen, my dad himself and the whole family got dragged to live in several pubs while me and brother were children - though there were only maybe a couple where we had any regular contact with the customers.
