I’m sorry to hear you feel dumb about it, it is humiliating so I do relate 😳 I remember my dad driving me home from college once and it was hair raising. I knew he was a drunk but even then it didn’t register that he was actually drunk driving with me. Apparently it was legal when he was younger - why, I have no idea.
He keeled over drunk at Christmas dinner last year and my sister in law thought he was dying. He was ok but man, there’s been so much unnecessary worry for us all over the years.
