He keeled over drunk at Christmas dinner last year and my sister in law thought he was dying. He was ok but man, there’s been so much unnecessary worry for us all over the years.

Speaking of worrying, my sister and I have had our fair share of worrying about our dad.

Possible trigger:

For example, a few years ago, he went to Canada to meet up with his brothers- a "brothers reunion". But he quit drinking cold turkey and had the DTs from withdrawal and ended up vomiting and passed out on the floor of my uncle's apartment. He came home and ignored him! It wasn't until my other uncle came back that he called "911". (I don't know if Canada has 911, but whatever the equivelant is.) He got taken to the hospital. There was another time when he was hospitalized for issues related to drinking and he was hallucinating and totally out of it. My sister went to be with him that time. It's sad.
