My job is stressful and requires a lot of mental energy. So, in addition to my workout addiction I like to mentally check out when I get home. I read a lot online and play online games on a console. I probably spend a few hours a day doing this. I like the stories or the interaction with other people. I was, and still am, a fantasy/sci fi nut so I enjoy the immersion into some alternate world or life.

Well, this drives my SO batty, him saying that I waste my time and that I'm addicted.

I don't know enough about addictions or relationships to have an educated opinion, but I hope you find a way to meet both your needs and the needs of your SO. So sorry I cannot be helpful.

Thank you Yaowen! I can't seem to get away from guys with mood swings. When he swings up, I can't do anything right and he's always anxious and edgy.
