You said or did nothing wrong. My Gran was bound to complain about having someone using her electricity and appliances. It was only a temporary arrangement. I would never have out stayed my welcome.

My gran was an addict. She was an alcoholic. The nurses reassured my mum that she was not being soft in buying my Gran the whiskey she demanded. Like an addict if she ran out or my mum forgot, she could turn nasty and become manipulative towards her.
My Gran convinced new year to buy her fix on one occasion and my mum had to apologise profusely for her behaviour and the nurses said that they knew many addicts who always find a way to get their fix or seize the opportunity to get extra so she couldn't have said no to this little old lady. Who probably said she was so lonely and never got out much so a little drink was her only enjoyment left. My mum believed that my gran wanted my her to be her full time stay at home carer. But my gran wasn't the way she was with you as she was with my mum. And my gran would have been notoriously difficult for one person to cope with. My mum also couldn't drive to the shop or drive her to the doctors. But my mum did spend EVERY single night at my Grans after work. When she wasnt fit enough to go to bingo at weekends, my mum set it up online and played with her. Other pensioners would have been put in a home. Without my mum my gran would not have been able to stay in her own home. Last edited by Anonymous32895; Jul 12, 2018 at 12:56 PM.. |
